Louise was born in Montreal in 1956 where she continues to reside. At the age of 15 her talent was recognized by Father Jerome, a friend and associate of Paul-Emile Borduas. While studying under Father Jerome she became an instructor at the College of
Notre-Dame at the early age of 20.
