Chantal received a Bachelor of Fine Art from Concordia University in Montreal in 1990. Since 1986 she has been painting in pastel, watercolour, oil and acrylic. She has also worked in computer graphics, design and illustration. In 2001 she began to teach
art to students of all ages in her home town of Saint-Basile-le-Grand.
Over the years Chantal has developed an expression of her art through abstraction. She has had four solo exhibitions of her work since 2003 in Quebec.
As Chantal expresses,
in her paintings..."the viewer becomes an important actor...one must light their imagination and uncover one's own story...now an animal, now a landscape, a figure or simply a state of mind."
