Born in Terrace B.C. in 1955, Rod moved to the Okanagan at a young age. His earliest paintings were influenced by the surrealists, but that soon changed when he discoveredworks of the impressionist school. This has lead him to his current artistic
interests which include experimenting with colour and the physical qualities of paint. The Group of Seven has also had a profound influence on his recent works.
Rod's work is collected worldwide and he is commited to painting images that have a
strong Canadian influence, whether through bold landscapes or whimsical images of children at play.
He currently lives in Kelowna where he devotes his time to his family and his art.
