Born in Tofino, B.C. in 1947, Paul grew up in Nanaimo.
He graduated in 1972 from the Emily Carr School of Art and Design (formerly known as the Vancouver School of Art).Prior to high school graduation, he attended the UBC Summer School of Art and the
Penticton Summer School of Art, with Toni Onley as instructor. He currently resides in Nanaimo.
