At the age of eleven, Lois Hannah moved from Saskachewan to Victoria, B.C. with her family.
As she grew older, Lois began to show talent in the arts. In 1976 she left Victoria and enrolled at the Vancouver School of Arts, where she discovered
sculpting. After graduating and trekking across the United States and Mexico, she wanted to expand her horizons even further and for the next six years she travelled around Vancouver Island and England, sculpting portraits for money. She found jobs
working in foundries, learning her precise skills through hands-on experience and hard work.
Lois now has her own foundry, and lives with her husband in Langley, B.C. where she concentrates on expressing the respect she has for wildlife through her
work.
